About

One accountable decision owner, supported by dynamically assembled expertise.

IQ256 is founder-led by design. A standing team is effective for recurring work. IQ256 is built for temporary questions: assemble the relevant intelligence around the uncertainty, then disband it when the work is done — with accountability for the recommendation sitting with a person rather than a process.

Founder

Kestutis Tauckela

Over twenty years building software and complex systems, including CTO and founder roles. That background is the reason IQ256 reviews decisions rather than producing strategy documents: most consequential software decisions turn on second-order effects that only appear when technical, commercial, and organisational reasoning are examined together.

Recent work has been in applied AI research and development, including the design of multi-model AI workflows — combining several AI systems deliberately rather than relying on a single pass. That research line continues at IQ256.ai; IQ256.com is where it is applied to decisions with money attached.

Every Independent Decision Review is synthesised and reviewed personally. When a report reaches you, one person stands behind its reasoning and its stated limits.

How the model works in practice

Founder
Clarifies the decision context, designs the intelligence process, verifies findings, and owns the synthesis.
Fusion AI and research
Structure uncertainty, explore alternatives, test reasoning, and close factual gaps under review.
Independent human experts
Selected per decision for specific blind spots, briefed with purpose-specific sanitized packets, reasoning independently.
The client
Provides the decision context, answers batched clarifications, and owns the decision throughout.

IQ256 does not publish a network size and does not present independent human experts as employees. Capability, not headcount, is what is offered.

Operating principles

Ten principles we work to

01

We construct the thinking, not just source the people

The work is designing how a decision gets thought through: decomposing it, choosing what can close each part, and reconciling the results. Finding capable people is one input to that, not the product.

02

Flexible intelligence allocation

Fusion AI, targeted research, independent human experts, and permissioned internal context are directed to wherever information is currently missing — and redirected when that changes.

03

Marginal information

The question is never “who else could we ask”, but “what would this addition tell us that we do not already know”.

04

Intelligence avoided counts too

A planned research lane or human expert that can no longer add information is cancelled before execution. More activity is not automatically more value.

05

Independent reasoning

Human experts form their view before seeing anyone else's. Early consensus destroys the signal we are paying for.

06

Disagreement is information

Conflicting expert views are reported, located, and explained rather than smoothed into an agreeable summary.

07

Confidentiality separation

Confidential source material remains controlled through the agreed IQ256 processing plan. Independent human experts receive only sanitized, purpose-limited packets; any third-party AI processing is disclosed and bounded separately.

08

Simplicity for the client

Complexity belongs on our side of the boundary. Your interface should be an email and a report.

09

Honest limits

What the review could not establish is stated as plainly as what it could. No manufactured certainty.

10

Spend according to the consequence of being wrong

Depth follows the stakes. Scope is not inflated because a larger engagement would be more profitable.

Expert quantity is not the value metric. Marginal information is.

Two sides of IQ256

The laboratory and the boardroom

IQ256.ai is the research side: AI Fusion, multi-model workflows, and the question of when additional intelligence is worth additional effort. IQ256.com applies that thinking to decisions with money attached.

Independent human experts

IQ256 works with independent human experts selected for specific decision blind spots. Contribution is judged by what an expert adds beyond AI analysis and the other perspectives already in the review.
